Uncorked Ventures' "Special Selection" is indeed special. We love the careful mix of "big scores" and "unique finds" they feature in this club.
We're quite impressed with most of the past selections from Uncorked Ventures, especially as they include some of our favorite West Coast wine-growing regions.
We'd love to see more content on their website to talk about their wine-selection process, some of the awesome stories from the road, and even their monthly newsletter.
Looking for something you’ll never experience somewhere else? This could be the wine club for you.
There’s so little information available on the Uncorked Ventures website that we engaged in a lengthy email discussion with the owners to get a better sense of what this wine club is all about. And we’re SO glad we did. You know how wine-lovers are often on the hunt for the rare-find or the hidden-gem? Well we think Uncorked Ventures is the hidden-gem among wine clubs.
“Our Special Selections Club is the one where we show more impressive bottles simply in terms of score.” But there are also special unrated wines going out in this wine club... like first vintages of wines from amazing winemakers and new releases on wines that sold out the year before. When we took a look at their list of “Big Scores” though, we knew immediately that this is an excellent wine club. We’ve tasted wine at Alta Colina (each wine was a new joyous experience and some were even sublime), we’ve had wines from K Vintners and others from the Wahluke Slope in Washington State while visiting Walla Walla, and Garys’ Vineyard (as in, Gary Pisoni) has been producing fantastic top-rated wines for more than 10 years. We KNOW these are excellent wines and we’re looking forward to see what Uncorked Ventures turns up next!
If this hasn’t convinced you why you want to choose this wine club, you should also know that Uncorked Ventures will honor any reasonable request one could ask of their wine club. This essentially means unparalleled customization options to suit your needs.
