What to Expect from Wine.com
Wine.com is known for an extensive wine selection and they’ve made their website a terrific tool for finding new wines to drink based on your preferences and interests. Since their retail prices aren’t spectacular (their wines are usually right around suggested retail price or “release price”) you shouldn’t expect wines that are of exceptional value, but you can expect wines that are of good quality and good variety, carefully chosen for maximum wine education and enjoyment.
Why we recommend Wine.com
When you’re selecting a wine club, it’s important to consider the reputation of the company you’re planning to purchase from. Wine.com is one of the oldest and most established sellers of wine online. They run a tight ship with excellent customer service and they carry an excellent selection of wines. Reputation is super-important when choosing a gift.
Wine Club FAQ for Wine.com
All of the policies and details are clearly laid out in an FAQ on their website. This kind of up-front disclosure shows they’re committed to their business practices and organized enough to see them through. Note: They don’t appear to guarantee the wines shipped via their wine club. If you open a bottle and it’s defective in some way, they will likely send you another free of charge. If you open a bottle and don’t like it, you’re on your own.
