Wine Clubs that Can Send Wine to Virginia

Monthly wine clubs with delivery to VA. We assume they're not breaking any laws.

The shipping laws in the United States are complicated if you're trying to send a gift of wine. Wineries hate it as much as you do, but there are workarounds. If you live in a state where shipping is free-and-clear, yay for you! If you need to ship wine somewhere with stricter laws though, you need this page to help you shop. These wine of the months clubs will ship wine to Virginia. Please send your legal inquiries to the companies directly.

Premium Wine Club
by Cellars Wine Club
All-Around Rating:

Wine club ships to Virginia

Overview: Our most popular Cellars Wine Club, it's like most other 2-bottle per month wine clubs but with a consumer stamp of approval.

What We Love: Cellars Wine Club is a (mostly) green company. They use earth-friendly packaging that is 100% recyclable.

Could Be Better: We'd like a better understanding of how they select their wines. We know some of what they've selected, but not anything about why.

90+ Point Wine Club
by Cellars Wine Club
All-Around Rating:

Wine club ships to Virginia

Overview: Wine ratings are subjective but it's rare to find a 90+ point wine that isn't of a certain respectable level of quality, even if you don't like it's taste.

What We Love: This 90+ point club is a little expensive if all you got were 90-point wines, but you really do get 90+ (usually +)!

Could Be Better: We'd like a better understanding of how they select their wines. We know some of what they've selected, but not anything about why.

Elevant Society Wine Club
by Vinesse
All-Around Rating:

Wine club ships to Virginia

Overview: Reliably good quality premium wines. Includes some real gems and we often see their selections on Lot18.

What We Love: We've been happy with the quality and value of 80% of the wine we've received from the Elevant Society wine club. We think you will be, too.

Could Be Better: We'd like to see a little less of the superlatives... "super-premium" wines don't carry a $35 price tag. Regardless, these are definitely premium wines worth their price.

Sparkling Wine Club
by Vinesse
All-Around Rating:

Wine club ships to Virginia

Overview: Champagne and Sparkling wines from around the world instead of the same old selections at the store

What We Love: So much fun to have Sparkling Wine & Champagne on hand whenever an occasion pops up... glad to see this solid offering with a 12-bottle option

Could Be Better: We'd always like to know which wines have been in recent shipments. Their transparency could be better.

Overview: Three-bottle a month red wine clubs are unusual but are just the thing for a red-wine lover. This one delivers great value, too.

What We Love: WineExpress is the retail arm of Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Who better to select the best wines for a wine of the month club than a company that rates wine?

Could Be Better: We'd like to see some updated "Previous Selections" on each of the wine clubs. The ones listed are a little out of date.
