Who should join Winc?

Winc is a good wine club for people who are casual wine drinkers, adventurous wine drinkers, wine drinkers interested in pairing wine with meals, and people who want to learn about wine in a low-pressure environment. It is not a good fit for premium wine drinkers, and people who only drink one or two kinds of wine. More on who is a good fit for Winc.

How much is Winc per month?

They recently changed the way they bill your membership. The monthly charge for Winc is now $59.95 (charged on the 14th of each month). These funds are deposited into your account as Winc Credits. You can skip a charge at any time and any unspent funds are carried over to the next month. Shipping is free with orders of four or more bottles and $9 when you order three bottles (the minimum order). More on the price of Winc.

Are Winc wines any good?

Yes, Winc wines are good. I find their white wines and rosé offer the best value and the red wines are hit or miss. Their California and South American red wines taste sweet to me (some people like sweeter red wines like Apothic Red and Meiomi Piniot Noir, but I don't). I recently picked out six of their new wines to try and so far I've really like all of them, especially those from Ventoux (France) and South Africa. More on the wine from Winc.

Is Winc easy to cancel?

Winc does not make it easy to cancel. To me, easy means I can go into my account and cancel my membership without interacting with a human being. You'll need to call, email, or live chat with a customer service representative to cancel. Winc has a reputation for getting a little pushy when you cancel (their customer service reps are trained to counter your reasons for leaving with the hope they'll convince you to stay). I have also seen complaints online from people who say they cancelled but continued to get charged and receive shipments afterward.

FYI: I find great wine deals so you don’t have to. To keep me on the hunt, I earn a commission when you buy wine based on my recommendations.
