Overview: From the wine sales partner for Wine Enthusiast magazine, this wine of the month club is perfect for Italian wine lovers. There aren't many Italian wine clubs out there, and the selection from WineExpress is solid. For a value-oriented approach to learning about Italian wine, this is a good bet.

What We Love: WineExpress is the retail arm of Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Who better to select the best wines for a wine of the month club than a company that rates wine?

Could Be Better: We'd like to see some updated "Previous Selections" on each of the wine clubs. The ones listed are a little out of date.

Overview: If you're a Champagne purist, this Champagne club isn't for you, but if you love bubbly wines and want to experience what's available from all parts of the world, this is a great sparkling wine club for you! We love that each shipment contains a budget-friendly selection like Prosecco, a mid-range selection like a California sparkling wine, and a true Champagne for a special occasion.

What We Love: So much fun to have Sparkling Wine & Champagne on hand whenever an occasion pops up... glad to see this solid offering with a 12-bottle option

Could Be Better: We'd always like to know which wines have been in recent shipments. Their transparency could be better.

Overview: From the wine sales partner for Wine Enthusiast magazine, this wine of the month club is perfect for the occasional wine drinker who's looking to step up from mid-range wines. We don't agree with the label "Connoisseur" for these $20ish wines, but like their other clubs, the wines of good quality and are priced fairly, but not generously.

Introductory offer: $69.99 for 15 bottles of wine!

Overview: The Laithwaites Wine club was one of the first 12-bottle case clubs offered up as a way to get your quarterly wine fix at value-focused prices. Over the years we've gone back and forth one whether or not they deliver a good value, but for some time we've thought their $12 wine selections really can't be beat for value, especially as prices keep rising at the grocery store. Take advantage of their introductory offer of just $69.99 for a case, but be warned, you are signing up for recurring shipments at a much higher price.

What We Love: They have one of the best line-ups of introductory offers for wine clubs we've seen.

    by Clubs of America

Overview: This is a company who sells many "of the month clubs" and their business model is to delivery fairly-priced gift of the month clubs while maintaining their excellent reputation for quality and customer service. That said, their wine of the month club isn't exactly pedigree-focused and most of the selections are from large-scale productions. It makes a great gift, especially for someone who loves wine but doesn't spend much on it.

What We Love: Very flexible in wine club options like wine color, shipping and billing frequency, and gift-giving.

Could Be Better: We'd like to see a slightly better quality of wine for this price-point.

What We Love: It's a California wine club focusing on well-reviewed wines and wineries. What's not to love? We also love their flexible billing options.

Could Be Better: As with other WineExpress wine clubs, we'd really like to see them drop the prices to reflect the customer loyalty inherent in a wine club subscription.

Like their other wine clubs, we feel they delivery good-quality wines at fair prices, but the selections we've received are available at grocery stores, so joining this wine club is more about convenience than anything else.
