Join a Red wine of the month club
On this page you'll find all of the red wine clubs we've reviewed. Our ratings system looks at quality-to-price ratio, shipping costs, uniqueness, and custom features. Wherever possible, prices include shipping costs, but rarely include sales tax. Be sure to select the state you're shipping to, as not all wine clubs can ship to all states.

Overview: Naked Wines isn’t really a wine club the way you think of one, but it’s a personalized wine buying service that you pay into on a monthly subscription so… we treat it like one. It also happens to be the most interesting wine club we’ve come across in a while.
About Their Red: Nakedwines.com makes it easy to find red wines you'll love. You can choose from 130 different red wines in a multitude of styles and from dozens of grapes. If you don't know exactly what you like, you can even shop by useful descriptions like "Big Red," "Fruity Red," and "Smooth Red." You can also pick amongst their customers' favorites and more. Prices range from $8.99 to $22.99 per bottle. — As of July 2, 2019
Overview: Winc set out to change the wine industry by finding new ways to get better value to wine drinkers who spend less than $15 a bottle — and they’re succeeding. By delivering a broad range of wine which appeals to every palate, Winc is a standout wine of the month club.
About Their Red: Winc offers a variety of inexpensive red wine in their subscription service and for purchase on their site. If you're used to drinking red wine at less than $15 a bottle, you'll enjoy the $13-18 bottles at Winc. If you typically spend more than $15 a bottle, we recommend upgrading to Winc's premium red wines like their Bretheren of the Road, Baseline, QTY, and Field Theory red wines including grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cabernet Pfeffer, and Mourvèdre.
Wine Club Gift Info: When you give a Winc subscription, you are giving wine credits which can be redeemed by your favorite wine lover. They'll then set up their own account so Winc's personalization engine can get to work on learning what they love. Opt for a fancy gift announcement on the big day for a little extra dough.
Overview: California is home to some of the world's best wine regions and wineries, many of which are boutique wineries. A boutique winery is typically a small-family operation with limited distribution beyond their tasting room. This wine of the month club is a great way to get introduced to what California wine has to offer at reasonable prices and it makes an excellent gift.
About Their Red: Produced by small California wineries, this wine club features red wines from many of California's wine regions like Sonoma, Central Coast, and Lodi. Expect good quality red wines like Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Zinfandel, and Red Blends. Note: This wine club comes in a red-only option, you get two of the same bottles each month.
Wine Club Gift Info: Gold Medal always offers beautiful gift packaging, but you usually need to order a whole year's worth of wine to get it free. Our readers get an exclusive deal on their premium gift package, included with any Gold Series gift of 3-months or longer. Your wine lover will also get a bonus bottle of red wine in their first shipment.
Overview: An affordably-priced personalized wine club that learns what you like as you receive, drink, and rate six bottle shipments. International, domestic, and award-winning wine from a thoroughly modern wine subscription box service.
About Their Red: The selection of wine available via Firstleaf is sort of mind-boggling. Naturally, that leaves a lot of interesting red wine choices. We tried the quiz (again) and it recommended red grapes for our adventurous profile which included Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Pinotage, and red blends from Italy, Spain, South Africa, California, and France. As Firstleaf learns more about what you like and don't, you'll continue to receive interesting red wines to discover.
Wine Club Gift Info: Since Firstleaf is a personalized wine subscription, gifts are given as electronic gift cards. This gives the recipient the chance to customize the wine selection, as they're meant to do. Gift cards are issued in denominations of $25-200. We recommend at least $100 to make sure he or she doesn't have to pay for any part of the first box.

Overview: This is the entry-level wine club from the International Wine of the Month Club, but unlike some other wine clubs in this price range you'll always receive Estate-bottled wines. Also for a wine club in this price range you get excellent tasting notes and winery information for every wine that's shipped.
What We Love: Unlike some other wine clubs which focus on acquiring closeout wines to ship to their members, this wine club cares a great deal about coming up with consistent selections befitting their reputation of 25 years in the business. Their tasting panel includes proprietor Kris Calef, wine professionals, and everyday wine drinkers, so they excel at finding palate-friendly wines with wide appeal.
Wine Club Gift Info: Wine club gifting is an area that this company excels at. They give you the most options of any two-bottle wine club, from when you pay for each shipment, to all of the standard customizations, gift notice options, etc. The first shipment of all gifts includes organza-wrapped bottles for an extra touch.
Overview: This 12-bottle case of wine club really jumpstarted this type of affordable wine subscription in the US and features value-focused white and red wines from around the world. Their $12 international wine selections typically offer better value in white wine than red.
What We Love: We've received many shipments of wine from the WSJwine Wine Club over the years, but we continue to hold the club in relatively low esteem. It's perfect for a wine lover who wants an inexpensive selection of International wine delivered to their door every quarter. It's not a good fit for anyone who likes wine that sells above $15 at the grocery store.
Overview: Among all of the case clubs (12 bottles, typically shipped quarterly), this California wine club offering selections from boutique wineries is one of the two best deals. The other club delivers 90+ point wine from around the world.
What We Love: We asked The California Wine Club for a case club deal and they made one! And now you get to save a TON of money on their already affordable Premier Series wines.
Overview: This wine subscription focuses on high-end, small-production Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that was perfectly cellared while it earned the status of Aged. All of these Cabs, from small family wineries in Napa, are ready to drink when they arrive. It is perfect to give as a gift or to join yourself. Past shipments have included both three-bottle horizontals and three-bottle verticals — a truly unique wine experience (more on this in the review).
What We Love: One of few Napa Cabernet wine clubs, this is the only Aged Cabernet wine club we know of. It’s practically impossible to find luxury aged Cab outside of the auction environment or for less than $120 a bottle. The uniqueness of these wines and the special access the club’s members get both factor into our enthusiastic support of The Aged Cabernet Series.
Wine Club Gift Info: The Aged Cabernet Series is the perfect wine gift splurge for a Cabernet lover. For an extra $18 you order a pre-wine gift package announcing the gift. Send it to yourself to present in person on the big day or send it directly to your wine lover so they know the wine is coming.
Overview: Among all of the case clubs (12 bottles, typically shipped quarterly), this 90+ International wine club is among the best two deals. The other focuses only on California wine, but this one takes you on a journey around the world. Enjoy eclectic wines at the best prices you'll find.
What We Love: It's so easy to get into a wine rut and stick with what you know. Wired For Wine ® helps you break out of that rut in a low-cost, satisfaction guaranteed way so you can find new wines to love. Also, when compared with similarly-priced case clubs, this one stands out for wine quality in a big way.

About Their Red: The red wines shipped in this wine club come from small California wineries, typically family-owned and run, specializing in handmade and artisanal wines. Expect good quality crowd favorites like Grenache, Zinfandel, Syrah, and Red Blends. Note: This wine club comes in a red-only option, you get two of the same bottles each month. If you want two different bottles, try their Simply Red wine club which ships every other month or save big with their red wine Case Club, delivered quarterly.
Wine Club Gift Info: The Premier Series is the perfect wine gift for a Californai wine lover. For an extra $18 you order a pre-wine gift package announcing the gift. Send it to yourself to present in person on the big day or send it directly to your wine lover so they know the wine is coming.
