If you’re interested in discovering or gifting organic wine (and related kinds of wine), we recommend a wine subscription. While organic, and natural wine especially, are very popular right now, they represent less than 1% of the wines produced in the world. This means you won’t find organic, biodynamic, or natural wine in most wine clubs (or even in most wine stores).
Organic & Biodynamic are terms which mostly refer to the methods of farming the grapes. Sometimes these wines are certified as organic or biodynamic, but sometimes they’re not. For wines produced in the US, there is an alternative label “Made with organic grapes” which implies sulfites were added during winemaking (sulfites are a common wine preservative).
Sustainable. Sustainable grape-growing is an important part of the wine production picture. There are many local agencies who determine what it means to be sustainable in a particular wine region (like Napa Green and SIP in Central California). A word of caution: not all sustainability certifications require the vineyard to be organic (Napa Green does not, SIP does). Also, not all organically-farmed wines are concerned with sustainability of the ecosystem surrounding the vineyards.
Natural wine, a term which describes winemaking more than farming, is focused on low- or minimal intervention during winemaking and relies on native yeast present on the grapes at harvest for fermentation. These wines tend to have higher acidity and lower alcohol. While the terms organic and Biodynamic have clear definitions, there is no agreed upon standard for Natural wine.

In Italy, small producers all farm organically as a custom, so very few actively seek out certification. Roscioli’s staff visit every winery they work with doing their own verification of organic/biodynamic practices.
Every wine you receive from Roscioli tells a story and if you’re curious about Italian wine, there is no better wine club to join. I considered myself “not a fan” until I tried the wine from Roscioli and I was blown away. Much of what is available in the US is not the best of what Italy can offer which is why a special wine club like Roscioli is the best way to learn about the breadth of wine from Italy’s small family producers.

Ann Arnold curates monthly and quarterly shipments from the largest selection of organic wines in the US (that we’ve been able to find), every single wine on her site is organic. Plonk Wine Club has always been one of our favorites. The eclectic and food-friendly wine selection, curated by certified sommelier Etty Klein, is always organic or biodynamic and her preference is for low-intervention wines. In terms of organic and biodynamic, Plonk works with wineries who are both certified and not certified. They describe their selection as:
“We curate natural wines that are grown using organic, biodynamic and sustainable vineyard practices.
That means no pesticides, herbicides or commercial additives such as colorants, acidifiers, artificial sugars, alcohol enhancements, or industrial chemicals of any kind. This also includes wines that contain minimal or no added sulfites.”

Natural is a more established wine preference in Europe than here in the US, so when you search for Natural wine subscriptions in Google you might find services based in the UK, Germany, and beyond that don’t ship to the US. We only include Natural wine subscriptions that ship to the US on this page.

VeroVino Craft Wines has a wine subscription called VeroClub. Their focus is Natural wines primarily from Italy, but from around Europe. The "farm to glass" movement is a big part of what they’re all about. Since they import all of their own wines, you won’t find them too many other places in the US.
I have received and tasted a shipment from VeroClub, though I have not yet formally reviewed the club on this site. Here is what I received and my notes:
2018 Braschi Campo Mamante (a white wine). This was a light-bodied, medium acid, food-friendly wine featuring citrus and salinity.
2018 Braschi Albana Secco (a white wine). Typically this grape is made into dessert wine, but this one is dry. It had a nose that reminded me of slightly oxidized viognier (honeyed and floral). I would guess this wine saw some skin contact.
2018 Braschi Sangiovese (a red wine). This wine had a nose of dark cherry, toffee or caramel, and something "green" either menthol or eucalyptus (I can’t always tell which is which). It was light bodied (for a red), medium acidity, with some tannins, and a longer finish. I liked it earlier and with food as compared with sipping it after dinner.
You can choose three or six bottle shipments, available monthly and quarterly respectively. The club offers a mix of red, white, rosé, orange (skin contact), and bubbly wines (some are pet nat), but you don’t get to choose your selection. While I have not had the pleasure of trying the Vinovore Wolfpack wine club, I’m delighted to see it is a Coly Den Haan project. A long time ago, when I lived in Los Angeles and was just getting started in wine, a friend and I went to her wine bar The Must. It was a transformative day for me regarding the breadth of what’s available in the world (and the tater tots were great, too).
A couple of projects later, Haan is back with a Natural wine bar in Los Angeles and a wine club to go with it. “Owner/Sommelier Coly Den Haan chooses 2-4 wines each month to provide you with fierce drinking pleasure. Run with the WOLFPACK and savor notable, natural wines made by women winemakers.”

Dry Farm Wines offers a Natural wine club but they further restrict their wine selection to include: Sugar-free, lower-alcohol, lower sulfites, mycotoxin/mold free, no industrial additives, Biodynamically farmed, dry farmed (no irrigation), minimal intervention, older vines (generally 35-100 years), wild native yeast, small production, Keto and Paleo friendly, vegan, and low carb.
They claim to lab test every wine they ship rather than rely on information provided by the winemakers.
Dry Farm Wines offers two wine club levels: six bottles for $159 or twelve bottles $299 per shipment. You can choose monthly delivery or every other month and shipping is included.
Dry Farm Wine ships to every state but: Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, and Utah.
Primal Wine says, “Natural wine is a type of wine made in small batches from hand-harvested organic or biodynamic grapes with minimal intervention in the cellar.”
Along these lines, Primal Wine offers monthly deliveries of natural wine with their Primal Wine Club. Priced similarly to other wine clubs in this space, three-bottle clubs are $85, six-bottle subscriptions are $155, and twelve-bottle clubs are $285 per box. Shipping is included.
Primal Wine does not disclose which states it ships to.
