Monthly wine clubs with delivery to ID. These wine of the month clubs will ship wine to Idaho
The shipping laws in the United States are complicated if you're trying to send a gift of wine. Wineries hate it as much as you do, but there are workarounds. If you live in a state where shipping is free-and-clear, yay for you! If you need to ship wine somewhere with stricter laws though, you need this page to help you shop. These wine subscription gifts will ship wine to Idaho. Please send your legal inquiries to the companies directly.
Overview: Garagiste is a term which describes up-and-coming winemakers who toil away creating artisanal wines in their, well not usually, garages. If you're someone who wants to be up on the latest and greatest future stars of California winemaking, try the mostly red wine selection of Garagiste wines from the Gold Medal Wine Club.
What We Love: We look forward to discovering new wineries from all over California. We know we're getting very good wine at below-retail prices and helping small family businesses grow.
Could Be Better: Like other Gold Medal Wine Club series, we'd really like to see more information about the winemaking and viticulture in the educational materials.
Overview: Grapeseed Wine started out as a way to have customers help fund one-time wine productions by acclaimed winemakers, but now it's a wine club, too. Get preferred pricing on all of their new releases and enjoy helping stellar winemakers stretch their winemaking creativity.
What We Love: We're big fans of any group that has exclusive wines because they produced them (as opposed to buying out a full production of someone else's wine)
Could Be Better: We'd like to see more options available, particularly for gifting, but also for delivery frequency. We're looking forward to the next release of Grapeseed wines to augment the selection.
Overview: We already go weak in the knees for a great champagne, but the shipment we received has us wishing the next shipment would get here sooner. A mouth-watering way to explore the region of Champagne, particularly from boutique grower houses that rarely export to the United States.
What We Love: A delightful and decadent way to treat yourself (or pamper a lucky gift recipient), Henri's Reserve is a playful yet sophisticated true Champagne Club, featuring top-notch small producers.
Could Be Better: It would be the best Champagne Club ever if they really stepped up the rewards of membership. We've been told they're working on it.
Overview: One of our favorite International wine clubs and one of our favorite Vinesse wine clubs, too. Each shipment contains six wines which introduce you to a new wine region — there are many clubs that do this, but not with six bottles and helpful tasting notes that tell you when it's time to drink your adventures in a bottle. A really fun wine club!
What We Love: Consistent quality and excellent "discovery" club enhances your wine knowledge and expands your palate.
Could Be Better: We'd love it customers were rewarded for ordering the bigger shipments. "Buy more save more" would be great!
Overview: Sometimes you just want a bottle of wine, some cheese and salami, and some crackers to tie all together and wind down a long work week. Enter the Wine Down Box (you see what they did there?) and add a little classy fun to your Friday nights — or someone else's as this makes a great gift!
What We Love: The wines have been excellent, and the pairings with the cheeses have been spot on. For how much hype there is around wine-and-cheese pairings in general, it's actually not that easy to pull off. And of course, we're suckers for salami.
Could Be Better: We're actually not fans of the crackers that come with this box. They're difficult to put a piece of salami and/or cheese on top of, so they're relegated to nibbling between bites of the other stuff. This is NOT a reason to avoid this otherwise awesome wine and cheese club.
Overview: Sometimes you want bubbly, sometimes you want rosé, and with this club you can get both. There aren't many sparkling wine clubs and this is the only wine club we know of that promises rosé in every shipment.
What We Love: A very female-focused brand. The wine industry is dominated by men and men predominantly start companies... this is a business that from the ground up is thinking about how women want to interact with their wine clubs. Which is great, because women represent 70% of buyers in the U.S.
Could Be Better: As wine clubs go, the options are pretty limited. They only offer monthly shipments and 2-bottle packages.
Overview: Among other "journey around the wine world" clubs, Wine Awesomness stands out for exceptional educational materials. This is a great wine club for you if you're not sure yet if you're a "wine club" person or if you're looking to give a gift to a young wine-lover who's just starting to discover the world of wine.
What We Love: The level of sophistication in both design and writing of their monthly magazine and how the wine isn't expensive but is a very good value.
Could Be Better: So many people love to give wine subscriptions as gifts, and we think a gift packaging option and customizable gift notifications would add to the subscription gift option.
Overview: This is the premium-level wine club offered by International Wine of the Month Club. It features interesting estate wines from regions in France, Italy, South America, and beyond.
What We Love: Great flexibility in billing and shipping, and customization paired with easy gift-giving make this wine club a great choice for the wine lovers in your world.
Could Be Better: We'd love to see four-bottle shipments offered by this wine club.
Overview: Whether you choose just the wine or you upgrade to include the regional gourmet treats with the Adventure Package, this quarterly wine club will take you on your own wine-drinking adventure around the world. Extensive regional and winery information goes out with each shipment, chock full of photos that help you feel like you're not really at home, but in a far away wine region.
What We Love: It's hard to compare a wine club that includes extra goodies to one that doesn't, because come on, most wine lovers love food, too! The fact that you can't get these wines from any other company in the U.S. doesn't hurt either.
Could Be Better: We don't have any suggestions for what to improve within the International Series wine club. Yay!
Overview: This is a 12-bottle personalized wine club. The personalization starts with the "tasting kit" but is really most impacted by the ratings you provide to wines you receive as full-size bottles. At $14/bottle, this is a convenient way to get your everyday wine delivered.
What We Love: Their best feature is total control of your account online without having to contact customer service — change the contents of your shipment, change your shipment size, have your next shipment sent exactly when you want it, or even cancel online.
Could Be Better: The wines offered in the $6.95 tasting kit have extreme profiles (likely the best way to identify the boundaries of your palate) but the experience is fun anyway. It's important to note: rating the wine triggers the first full-price case to be shipped.
